Introduction to Mushroom Shapes, Categories, and Scientific Names

Description

Join Arne Martinson, Vice President of the Wisconsin Mycological Society, for an educational mushroom foray. Participants will learn the basics of mushroom safety and identification while getting a chance to find and learn about edible and poisonous mushrooms. You will also learn how to categorize mushrooms in helpful ways for beginners. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Be prepared for walking over uneven terrain. Meet near Cable at 12:30 and finish by 4 p.m. Meeting location will be provided prior to class. Space is limited. Register by September 16. $25 member/$30 non-member.
