How to Fill Your Basket: A Comprehensive Course for Finding Abundant Wild Mushrooms

Join Arne Martinson, Vice President of the Wisconsin Mycological Society, as he clues you in to professional methods for finding YOUR mushroom spot. During an outdoor mushroom foray, participants will learn how to use various environmental cues to find mushroom locations that produce year after year. You will have a chance to harvest your own mushrooms and we will cover basic safety guidelines and legal requirements for foraging. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Be prepared for walking over uneven terrain. Meet within a 15-minute drive of Cable at 12:30 and finish by 4 p.m. Meeting location will be provided prior to class. Space is limited. Register by September 9. $25 member/$30 non-member.
