2025 Ice Fishing Contest & Cash Raffle

Tickets are only available at the Loon Saloon!!Fish registration, bucket raffles, and additional cash raffle tickets will be available from 11am-4pm at Loon Saloon. Cash Raffle tickets will also gain entry into the fishing contest. You do not have to be a fishing person to enter the cash raffle but you do have to have a cash raffle to be included in the fishing contest.
Fish eligible for the ice fishing contest must be caught from Lake Namakagon (including Garden and Jackson), during contest hours of 12:01am and 4pm on Saturday, February 1st, 2025.
Fishing people must purchase an orange Cash Raffle ticket prior to fishing. This is your entry into the tournament and the cash raffle. Keep your ticket stub or ticket number handy so we can record it when registering fish.
All fish and contestants must meet DNR requirements. All fishing regulations for Bayfield County, Lake Namakagon and the State of Wisconsin will be abided by. —Any fish illegally caught will be disqualified.
Winning fish will be determined by length to the nearest 1/8th inch. In the event of a tie, the first fish registered will take priority.
Fish measuring will take place from 11am – 4pm at Loon Saloon. No late entries allowed! Any fish brought in for the tournament after 4pm will not be considered and disqualified.
Contestants are responsible for verification of length of fish at time of measuring.
The decision of the judge is final.
Categories: northern, walleye, crappie, bluegill, perch.
Cash prizes will be paid out for 1st and 2nd place in each category.
Catch, register and release is highly encouraged!
Contestants are responsible for their own safety, actions, and property, at all times.
Any tampering with length of fish will automatically disqualify anglers from the contest.
Note: There is a “no keep” slot size for walleyes.
Therefore, fish under 15” or from 20”-24” do not qualify for the tournament.
